3rd strike from Italy’s epic/power metal band No.1. Thy Majestie was formed back in 1998, and after releasing the “Perpetual Glory” demo back in 1999, they were picked up by Scarlet Records and in 2000 they released their debut album: “The Lasting Power” - a great album, but with a poor production. Then in 2002 “Hastings 1066” came out, a historical concept album based on the Hastings battle (surprise), and definite one of the best albums to come out of Italy.

Here we are 3 years later with a brand new CD. “Jeanne D’Arc” continues with the historical approach, this time based on the mighty Jeanne D’Arc (another surprise), and this time with a production other Epic/power metal bands only dreams about.

The music on “Jeanne D’Arc” can best be described as a mixture of Domine and Rhapsody, epic/power metal with big choirs, great arrangements and superb orchestrations.

Tracks like “The Chosen”, “… For Orleans”, and the 9 minutes long “The Trial” tops everything Thy Majestie has ever done before. With this great album Thy Majestie will shoot themselves into the premier league.
