Mrs. God

This is only an appetizer for the new Helloween album "Keeper of the Seven Keys - The Legacy", which will be released on October 31. The album is as some of you might have guessed a successor to the 2 albums that really established Helloween as a premier metal band - the legendary "Keeper of the Seven Keys, Part I & II" - released almost 20 years ago.

This CD single has a total of 3 songs, 2 of them will be found on the album: "Mrs. God" and ""King for A 1000 Years" and both of them are some the best Helloween tunes I've heard in a very long time.
”Mrs. God" is a typical Helloween song for a single with quality guitar licks, a good chorus and lots of humour - just take a listen to the lead part - some guitars, then some bass and then ... ha-ha - puts a smile on my face every time I listen to it, but take a listen for you self.
"King for A 1000 Years" is in the tradition of "Halloween" and ”Keeper of the Seven Keys" - the 2 mammoth songs on Part I & II. So to speak another epic song, and I think this one is almost as awesome as the before mentioned song, and makes me really look forward to the album.
Last song on the single is "Run (The Name of Your Enemy)" - and I think it's wise not to include this song on the album, not that it's awful, it's actually OK, but just not as great as the others ...

Admitted I prefer the earlier material from Helloween, and the only remaining members from that period are Michael Weikath (guitars) and Markus Grosskopf (bass). Andi Deris has been around for a long time, and his vocals will never be as outstanding as Kiske's, but he does a good job on this single. The 2 newest members Sascha Gerstner (guitars) and brand new member Dani Loeble (ex-Rawhead Rexx, drums) do a fine job here as well...

With this single I am pretty sure a lot of old Helloween fans will be looking forward with anticipation for the follow up to the bands arguably best albums ... so in the mean time, do take a listen to this groovy single, because it's very good and worth your time ...
