The Killing EP

HateSphere seem to have found the receipt for success in the metal world. On the Killing EP, the Danes continue the style from last year’s “Ballet of the Brute”, i.e. straight forward metal core in direct descent from the thrash giants of lore. Those who have seen HateSphere live know that they give all, and unlike past efforts from the band, this feeling finally seems to get across on the silver platter. Too bad there are only three new songs on the EP (plus a cover of Suicidal Tendencies’ “Trip at the Brain” from the divine thrash cracker “How Will I laugh…”.

This time, the production is a joint venture between Tommy Hansen and Jacob Hansen, and perhaps this is what makes the whole thing just a tad better and more dynamic. Expectations will be high for the next Hatesphere full-length!
