Involution

This album by Gianluca Ferro, the amazing lead guitarist from Time Machine is a big surprise for me! I'm not the biggest fan of progressive metal-fusion, but this album is actually very good.

We get 10 tracks here, and to me it's high quality metal-fusion. My God! this guy can play, I can tell you that! Just listen to the solo in track 3: "Mechanized Consciousness Algorithm" ... STUNNING!

Usually I do have one big problem with progressive metal-fusion music ... it's very hard to tell the numbers apart from each other; however it's not the case with Gianluca Ferro's "Involution". This album is filled with metal parts, beautiful parts, very melodic parts and off course with stunning guitar parts.

Some very illustrious guests make their work shine even brighter, and its names like Scott McGill (McGill Manring Stevens) and Alessandro DelVecchio (Edge Of Forever) among others.

This great album comes with a great cover artwork, and with a great booklet where you can see who's playing what on each single track. I could go on and on, but I rather stop here and let the music do the talking instead.

Recommended tracks: All of them.
