Album number six from Swiss rockers Crystal Ball and a pleasant surprise, at least to me. It needed a few spins in my CD-player to grow on me, but now I think it’s a great Hard Rock / Melodic Metal album.

“TimeWalker” is the title and it’s a concept album with a journey through different historical events. We get 11 first class Hard Rock songs and the limited edition comes with a bonus track of a well known Pop song.

As on their previous album “HELLvetia”, Crystal Ball has worked together with Stefan Kaufmann (ex-Accept, U.D.O.), who has helped them to create a dynamic and powerful sound. Sound wise Crystal Ball reminds me of Shakra and Pretty Maids among others. To put it simple, great Hard Rock / Melodic Metal with great catchiness.

Give at least this Swiss band a chance. I think that they deserve it.

Recommended tracks: “Tear down the Wall”, “Powerflight”, “Celebration” and “Talking To The Walls”.
