I don’t know what it is about Bolt-Thrower. No matter what these Brits do, it is hard to say anything negative about it.

The same goes for their latest effort, “Those Once Loyal”. In my humble opinion, this is Bolt-Thrower’s best album to date. In terms of tempo, the disc is more varied than “Honour – Valour – Pride” and “Mercenary”, and the band sounds fresher than they’ve done for years. Perhaps the break from Karl Willets and his recent return to the ranks have had a good effect.

Fact is, the band has regained speed and their ability to create songs consisting of two ultra-efficient, catchy riffs has reached a level of perfection. ‘Nuff said.
