Primary Fear

This album came out in 2003 and it’s my first encounter with this Italian band. After 10-12 spins in my CD-player I somehow feel trapped between heaven and hell… …should I cry or should I laugh… feel happy or feel depressed??

The reason is this; - The music here is GREAT… but the vocals… Enzo “Vincent” Caruso, reminds me of FABIO LIONE from RHAPSODY, that’s great, right?? – The problem I’m having with Enzo is that he’s very hard to understand… You must to have the lyrics right in front of you to understand what he’s singing!

Except for the vocals… this album rocks! – We get 15 tracks of excellent Speedy, Power metal with a Symphonic edge, memorable choruses, great harmonies and excellent guitar work.

BUT… I’m still somewhere between heaven and hell… - Can you get use to the vocals? - I think so… the more I listen to this album… the more I’m getting use to it. Is the music great? Yes it is… in MY opinion, of course… even “Eruption”. (It is the first part of Tarkus by Emerson, Lake and Palmer).

And the guitar work is, as mentioned before, excellent!

Tip: Listen before you buy!
