Brand New Morning

WAUUUUV - I surely did not see this one coming. This album has totally blown me away - this is in my opinion the best hard rock album in the last decade, and yes this is even better than both "On A Storyteller's Night" and "Vigilante" by many considered to be Magnum's masterpieces.

This album just makes you happy and puts a smile on your face. I get the same feeling I got the first time I heard albums like Pretty Maids' "Future World" or Tesla's "Mechanical Resonance" - this is pure and simple the nearest to a perfect melodic hard rock album I have heard in a very, very long time.

Sure Bob Catley made some good to very good solo-albums, before Magnum got back together again, but on this album everything seems to be clicking to almost perfection. From the great guitar work from Tony Clarkin, to the excellent vocal perfomance by Bob Catley, through Mark Stanway's brilliant keyboard work, and rock solid rhythm section - Harry James on drums and Al Barrow on bass. But that really doesn't matter if the songs don't work - but no worries here, because we are served with 9 excellent hard rock songs, that are all breath taking in my book!

Some might think I might be going a bit overboard on this one - but I can simply not stop listening to this awesome album from this bunch of old guys, who shows that they still know how to rock ... I am pretty confident that this album will be in my Top 5, when looking back at 2004. This is, hands down, in my opinion one of the best hard rock albums ever.

To pick any track over another would not justify the brilliance of this masterpiece, so take a listen to the whole album and be pleasantly surprised .... GET THIS ALBUM NOW!!!
