Angelcrypt is a five-piece epic power metal band hailing from the Island of Malta .

Angelcrypt was formed back in 1997 under the name Rattlesnake by drummer Josef Bray, guitarist Shawn Mizzi and keyboard player Nicholas Bray.

In 2002 they released the single “Epileptic Lullaby”, the six tracks “From Abyss to Glory” album was released in 2004, and in 2005 they participated with the track “Altar of the Gods” on the Saxon tribute album “Eagleution”.

Angelcrypt proves that they are talented song writers and good musicians and the “From Abyss to Glory” CD is a fine example of South European epic power metal, but the singer spoils everything - he sounds like an angry version of Grave Digger’s Chris Boltendahl.

Despite the bad singing from Juan Xerri “From Abyss to Glory” is an acceptable CD, no more, no less.

Recommended tracks: “Epileptic Lullaby” & “Angelcrypt”.
