Cast Away

This is one of those albums, that is bound to be released following the huge success of bands like Evanescence, Nightwish and Within Temptation! Not that this is just another rip-off of any of those bands, it's actually a good solid effort from this Austrian band.

Symphonic metal with a very good female vocalist in Nicole Bogner, she reminds me a lot of Tarja - just not as powerful. Sharing the vocal duties is Mario Plank, who reminds quite a bit of Tony Kakko from Sonata Arctica. This pairing gives Visions Of Atlantis a nice edge, and should bring a lot of attention to this cool band.

Musically they are all very capable musicians and the album has a good sound, so overall this is a very solid album. Do check them out ...
