Back To Basics

Canadian metal icon Anvil is back with their 16th album, and the title says it all. This is old school Anvil metal, which I am sure the hard-core Anvil fan will be thrilled with this because it has all the old Anvil trademarks; Lips vocals, hard punding guitars and rock solid metal songs.

But to the normal metal fan (as I consider myself) this is just plain and simple boring and nothingsaying metal. Sorry, but that's the truth - Anvil hasn't moved one bit since albums like: "Metal On Metal" or "Forged In Fire" - albums that were good back then, but today this simply just doesn't cut it!

I am pretty sure fans of those albums I mentioned will be very pleased with Anvil's latest effort, but I am not one of them.

Recommended tracks: "Song Of Pain" and "Can't Catch Me"
