Anubis Gate can be discribed as a true classic metal band influenced by good old metal bands like Iron Maiden, Savatage and Queenryche. And with the addition some nice 90's progressive inputs, especially on their keyboard sound you end up with a very nice album.

I am mostly impressed with the guitar work on this album, it's simply amazing. Torben's vocals performance is one of those hate/love situations, and I really dig what he's doing here!

The production by Jacob Hansen is as always clean and in your face. I don't like some of the keyboard-soli on the album, but that's not a big deal.

And one can only be amassed by Mattias Norén's excellent artwork, again he has made a great cover. I can only say that Anubis Gate is a very pleasant surprise for me, and urge people to at least give this album a chance ....
