It's not every day you hear a band from
Bulgaria, or a Bulgarian band signed to a well known label, but Project
Arcadia's sophomore album "A Time of Changes" has caught the attention of
Lance King as is now available thru Nightmare Records. The biggest change for
the band might be inviting vocalist Urban Breed on board for this project.
Their fast guitar driven power metal has links
to bands like Tad Morose, Communic, Balance of Power and Unisonic. Unfamiliar
with their debut album I must take this as it is: a well played and produced
album that reaches internationally standard even without the addition of a very
strong vocalist. Because what lifts this album up is without a doubt the
performance of Urban Breed.
The eleven songs strong album has all the
ingredients a melodic power metal fans want in an album: strong guitar work,
some amazing lead work, a rock solid rhythm section, fast songs, melodic songs,
emotional songs and again above all a very strong vocalist.
I can strongly recommend this album to fans of
Urban Breed, melodic power metal and especially fans of the bands mentioned
above to give this band a chance as well as a listen.
