Looking at the title I think I don't need to say how many albums the band has recorded already. Hailing from England this Def-Con-One makes no secret about their big influences.

Immediately after the first riff, you hear Pantera resemblances. On the other hand you can't say that they are just a clone or copycat of this legendary band, because there are some Machine Head and other influences as well. The harsh singing is varied in a few songs with some clean singing and when that happens, these phrases reminded me somehow of Alice in Chains and even Faith No More, mainly because of the singing. That makes the band somewhat different from their biggest inspiration. For the bigger part however they borrow all the main ingredients from Pantera: the groovy riffs, the breakdowns, the triggered kicking bass-drums and singing style.

After listening to the album a few times, I couldn't really decide if I should punish them for cheeky following Pantera, or rewarding them for putting in new elements, which makes them different. The truth lies withing so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and I can only advice you to check them out and then make your own decision.
