If I had Joey DeMaio here in front of me, I'd ask him why he is so determined to flog dead horses. Celebrating 25 years of 'Fighting the World', 'Hail to England' and 'Battle Hymns' I could easily understand, but ten years of 'Warriors of the World'?! There must be some kind of business mechanism I don't get. I find it hard to believe that hordes of fans have drowned the Manowar headquarters in letters, demanding this remixed version of one of the lesser Manowar artefacts.

There are really good songs on 'Warriors of the World', like Hand of Doom, Warriors of the World United and Call to Arms, and DeMaio has been meddling quite a bit with some of the songs, clearly making an effort to not just release exactly the same album over again - but that doesn't take away the terribly tacky An American Trilogy and the vocally impressive however infinitely boring Nessun Dorma.

With this not-really-new release and the prospect of a Lord of Steel live release (No way!? Is Manowar releasing another live album? That's a first! NOT!), I wish I could look the warriors of steel into the eyes and tell them that their fans would probably much rather wait a bit longer and hear fresh material - or is it just me?
