Album number seven by this Italian symphonic power metal band after their six album episode called 'Legend of the Forgotten Reign'. Chapter I and IV are somewhere in my collection, but after listening to them a few times the dust started to grow on them. Why? I think it's because it is not special enough.

This new album is perhaps a little less cheesy and has some heavier parts in it, but again it doesn't really convince. Rhapsody, Vision Divine and Labyrinth are their musical influences, but in some way the band never overtakes them. The guest appearance of Fabio Lione on the song "A Dark Prison" is excellent and with the symphonic parts the song sounds very Rhapsody of Fire-like. In my opinion Kaledon is a decent act, like the little brother of Rhapsody of Fire. If they want to step out of their shadows, they have to change their style and try something else.

Nevertheless an average album, which will be appreciated by every symphonic and Italian power metal lover.
