The title of this promo is NOT to be confused with Heathen's 'Breaking the Silence'. There's a great deal of difference between the 1987 classic and this debut release by Swedish Deception.

I suppose as a starting point you could say that Deception's effort is solid enough, but they really offer nothing new with these four tracks. And when I say nothing, I mean nothing. Even if the sound is slightly updated, Deception sound like a thousand bands sounded around 1990. They play well and everything, however, it never really moves me. One part of the explanation for this could also be that singer Daniel's vocal performance doesn't convince me at all. He doesn't burn through for some reason.

A good effort in instances, but overall not really convincing.
