The Italian quartet CONCRETE is inspired by numerous classic thrash metal names. However most of their inspirations are in the sphere of the wishes. Their debut EP is closer to the music of SEPULTURA’s “Schizophrenia”.

The band entered the studio for recordings but this is not evident from the sound of the guitars. It seems that they are recorded in the rehearsal room with only one attempt for this… The most awful are the obstructed tones in ‘Devastation’ and the lacking in ideas walk on the scale in the instrumental ‘Interlude’. Not at last place should be mentioned that the sterile as outline and color logo is lost on the simple even ugly artwork.

I do not want to say that these Italians have no talent. The classic thrash albums of SEPULTURA are something which the revived gender misses. I think that the people who greet these music seeking are a lot, including me. But the guys from CONCRETE have a lot of work in front of them because their product is not properly produced.
