Founded around 2007 in Quimper, Brittany, Pictured spread their music and in 2008 they released their first demo. On their second  demo entitled "The Dwelling" they polished their thrash/death metal sound and now they have finally received the opportunity to release their debut album.

Lots of twin-guitar harmonies, catchy and thrashy riffs combined with tight rhythms and in rather well written songs. That is what these Frenchies offer you on their debut. Early Arch Enemy and because of the riffs also a band like Carcass enter my mind. The aggressive vocals fit to the music, but are plain average ones.

Not an album that will surprise you, but one that is full of good melodic death metal and if you like early works of Arch Enemy, In Flames, Soilwork and Carcass, you will certainly enjoy this rather unknown band. Not a lot of new elements, but played with class and with some excellent songs. A little bit more originality next time and they will earn 10 points more.
