Last year I saw this band at the Dicky Woodstock festival and I found it a funny band and they put a big smile on my face. Front woman Agata is beautiful to watch and has a good voice and together with Stefan they divide the vocals. Their most known song is the track "Bomba", perhaps you are familiar with that one?

From this new album I already saw the funny video of the track "Sock 'n Doll", I can advice you to check it out on YouTube. To describe the musical style of this band is a very difficult mission. The music is a mix of pop, ska, metal, rock, electro, polka and other styles. Besides that the lyrics are full of word-jokes and the songs have very addictive dance rhythms, funny choirs, yodel parts and hand clapping. It's a big potpourri of styles and influences.

If you are into evil depressive metal styles, you can skip this one, but if you want to have a party with funny music and a big smile on your face you certainly need to check this Austrian band. Some parts of their music reminded me of Waltari. For the rest Kontrust is completely unique and you either like them or hate them. In the Netherlands they have a rather big fan base and are a welcome guest at festivals. I appreciate the band too and I will certainly check them out next month when they play my town Sneek.

It's not metal, but variety is the spice of life.
