Talisman, Souls SirkUS and Yngwie Malmsteen's former lead singer and the legendary hard rock vocalist, Jeff Scott Soto releases his fifth solo album 'Damage Control'. JSS has more than 60 albums under his belt with numerous collaborations around the globe. All from Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Funk and Disco(?!). On 'Damage Control' his former band-mates like Jamie Borger, Nalley Påhlsson (Talisman/Treat), Dave Meniketti (Y&T), Casey Grillo (Kamelot) and Joel Hoekstra (Night Ranger) among many other musicians appears. This album is an awesome mixture of all the genres JSS can handle with his wide rock 'n' roll voice. From languishing stylish AOR, concrete-hard heavy metal and into a slow, calm and gentle ballad. I'm an old Talisman fan and on this album there are several tracks which smells like the original 'Talisman' sound with great melodies and tremendous technical guitar riffs.

The album kicks off with a top track; 'Give A Little More ' is a great rock song with a high standard, catchy choruses and amazing solos. The title song is another song with JSS's specific characteristics, where the track swoops and sways and he hits the vocal intensity perfectly. 'Look Inside Your Heart' is my favorite song, which is a classic melodic rock song with a lot of guitars in the front and performed in Jeff's best voice level.  Another track I must rise above of the others is 'Krazy World' with a groovy up tempo rock pace and some funky groove rock tunes. The melodic rock songs like ' How To Love Again' fit Jeff just like a glove and in the funky groove filled rock track 'Afterworld' the best songs lines up in the end of the album. The ending song 'Neverending War' is a true American rock tune with a touch from Bon Jovi initially, and it is a great final track to an amazing album.

A super production and I do not have other requests for this release. One of Jeff Scott Soto's best albums, probably the best he has released under his own name. I'm just waiting for the new W.E.T album. Can't get enough of JSS this spring.
