To satisfy the fan's need while they are waiting for a new full length, Havok releases an EP with 2 new tracks and 2 covers. If you have a fine memory, you know I was very enthusiastic about their 2011 release 'Time is Up'. The 2 new tracks are two songs in the same line and are again real thrash bombs.

The Bay-Area thrash still sounds fresh and being a fan of that genre, they please me again. To let you know that they are aware of their roots and I think because they listened to that when they were younger, they covered two of the biggest thrash bands. Sepultura and Slayer are not two bands you can top, the original versions are cult and so that is an impossible mission. Nevertheless, both of them sound very good and are well performed, although I have to say that I like the Slayer cover better than the Sepultura one.

Havok quenched my thirst for the moment, but I'm already looking forward to a new album. They already passed the point of no return a long time ago, I'm sure they will march on to become one of the leaders in the New Wave of Thrash genre.
