I've been waiting for a new album with the melodic metal kings from Norway; Circus Maximus and their album is in progress and hopefully be out in stores 2012. The talented vocalist Michael Eriksen from CM is also the lead vocalist in this project called "The Magnificent" and what a great substitute from Frontiers Records. Together with the great finnish producer / guitarist Torsti Spoof they have made a piece of super melodic rock art. If you are a fan of CM, Brother Firetribe, Europe, Levertage, Work Of Art, WET or if you are a lover of the Scandinavian Melodic Rock scene, then you will take this album to your heart. Great singing contribution, awesome guitars and a mega tight production are the good trademarks for high rating points from me.

"Holding On To Your Love" and "Cheated By Love" are quality tracks with potential to be AOR timeless classic hit songs. Michael proves in "Memories" what a class singer he is and the powerfull pace and the groove in all the tracks gives me no other alternative than to give this masterpiece a high rating. The powerfull ballad "Angel" is another track that gives style points with the gentle intro and the buttery and smooth Whitesnake likeish ballad tempo and glittery guitar solos. One of the strongest tracks on the album is "Satin & Lace", which has big arena rock ability just like the fathers of this genre, Journey and Foreigner.

I must say that this album comes from out of nowhere and without anesthesia they had my aged legs shaking with delight and my acking feet just want to get up on the floor and dance. A top album for AOR lovers worldwide.

It's a must own album for this fall / winter.

Other musicans on the album: Rolf Pilve on drums, Sami Norbacka on bass and Jukka Karinen on keyboard.
