Far From The End Of The World (EP)
Style:  Melodic Power Metal
Release date: April 19th 2010

After 3 years we are finally getting a new Masterplan album. The first sample is this little 3 track EP which contains all non album tracks, all be it that 2 songs are the same. It is with great delight that Jorn Lande has joined back up with the boys. I mean the last album "MKII" was ok, but it's like Maiden without Bruce. It just didn't sound right!!!!!

Getting over the excitement of Jorn being back in "Masterplan" I sit down to listen to this EP & listen again & again, because I don't hear anything outstanding here. To my ears Masterplan is a well oiled machine churning out the same stuff they did 5 years ago. Don't get me wrong the 2 new tracks on offer are good melodic power metal with great solos and powerful vocals. But I honestly HOPE that the album is a lot better then this EP.

Nothing to get excited about here...
