Sea of Black
Style: Hard Rock
Release date: April 23rd 2010

MASS was formed back in 1980 and have up until this date released 5 full-length albums if I'm correct. I remember listening to one of their first releases years ago and enjoy it... but then I lost track of them. But well... here they are with a brand new album called 'Sea of Black' that contains 12 songs with lots of variety.

We get everything from 80's hard rock/metal and the more melodic side of hard rock to ballads. Most of the songs come down fine except for a few fillers. The drumming is solid and the guitar work is fluent and inventive and most of the choruses grow on you with every listen.

MASS is at their best when they crank up the volume and ROCK! However the catchy semi-ballad "All the Years Gone" is a very nice surprise in my humble opinion. I'm sure that I've heard this track somewhere before? Well... almost sure.

All in all a solid album from MASS, so check'em out now if you're a hard rock fan.
