Some call Candlemass doom, but when you really talk about doom you have to think about Evoken and Beneath the Frozen Soil. With a tempo even my dead grandma can follow, the first song crawls through the speakers. Evoken does remind me sometimes of Winter and Disembowelment. Evoken is the most known band on this split and musically they are better too.

Beneath the Frozen Soil is perhaps even slower than Evoken, I didn't count the drumbeats per minute, but it won't be difficult and I don't need to count over 20 I think. Doom fans will like both bands and they certainly will be looking forward to Evoken's new album, expected in 2012.

For those who take like slooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwww!
