Molotov Solution
The Harbringer
Rating
Style: Deathcore
Release date: June 8th 2009

A deathcore album now and then makes me at least come to the conclusion that I like some other genres better, but Molotov Solution is not a bad one. O.k., there is not so much originality to be found here because we have heard this from several other combo's like The Red Chord, Whitechapel and Impending Doom.

The good sound sees to that the album is nice to listening to. The vocals are decent, and rather standard for this genre; low grunting combined with high pitched screaming. The songs are heavy, aggressive, and often very fast, fortunately there are some slower and groovier parts too. Some songs also include a guitar solo every now and then - these solo's are well placed and make the songs much more interesting.

First song "Warlords" shows directly what the band stands for. If you like this song, you will like the whole album. This song is a kind of blueprint for the rest and that is also the worst thing about this record, 'The Harbringer' continues with songs on the same level, without surprises. Nonetheless, Molotov Solution has made a good album and the musicians know how songs in this genre should sound. This is a good purchase for fans who need their monthly dose of deathcore!
