From the bowels of the US doom and death metal underground, Divine Eve sends up a roar of spiteful grimness with their latest four-song effort, ‘Vengeful and Obstinate’.

Their death metal has Venom splattered all over it, yet is more quality than Venom ever was. Their doom is heavy as Bathory and falls right into the slowly growing trend of doom metal bands that I sense is on at the moment. The Ravages of Heathen Men has bloody horns on it – I shit you not! Very heavy!

An by all means interesting release that deserves attention – never mind the grim, much too shrill and distorted solo sound of the guitars that I find downright insufferable!

Check it out.
