Sometimes there are nice surprises. The debut of this band from Southern California produced by Frank Gryner (a Perfect Circle, Bon Jovi, Rob Zombi ) and Karen Steuer is such a surprise. Well produced and high quality progressive prog-rock songs with a sharpened metal edge. The band has already been voted the best live band 2007 at the Island Empire Music Awards, so they are impressive live as well.

Expect music in the vein of Fates Warning, Rush, Dream Theater and Shadow Gallery, but with an own touch and definitely no rip off. The voice of  Michael Couts (guitars, vocals)do at times reminds me of Phil Janzen (Dream Quest). On the second song "Crazy Times" there is a guest appearance of Phil Collen (Def Leppard). Next to progressive heavy songs like "Permanent Scars", "Half Life" (hello DT ) and "Mind Control" the album has tranquil moments in the ballads "I've Waited" and "Lost Vision". Songs with accoustic guitar, piano-parts and excellent singing.

The band is very mature and the song writing is of a high quality. When you hear this band, you can't believe that this is their debut album. Check them out on Myspace.
