Vanilla Fudge goes way back... way back to the 60’s and they released their first self titled album in 1968. They released a few more albums but disbanded in 1970… and then reunited in 1982.

A few more albums followed but now it’s time for their first studio release in 23, namely “Out through the in door”… a homage to a band that way back was a support band for Vanilla Fudge… namely Led Zeppelin.

Well… I must admit that I don’t count either Led Zeppelin or Vanilla Fudge as my favourite bands so I’m feeling a tad bored when I listen to this album. But I’m sure that aging hippies everywhere will recall fond hallucinogenic memories of past days, when the world was stoned, while listening to “Out through the in door”.

As for myself, I can only say that I find the music too bluesy and boring and I can’t say I have to iron out my goosebumps over it.

The production is very 70’s and suits the music fine and so try it out if you’re into Led Zeppelin

Vanilla Fudge.
