Well... to be honest I’m maybe not the right one to review the brand new Megadeth... or am I? Since Mr. Mustaine and co. released their debut album “Killing is My Business… And Business is Good!” in 1985 I have been a big fan of Megadeth and in my humble opinion they can do nothing wrong.

Megadeth is still Megadeth… and they still don’t disappoint me. They are still quite political

and that suits me fine. We still get the typical Megadeth riffs that stay in your head for days

peppered with memorable choruses so nothing new in the Megadeth camp.

“United Abominations” is in my humble opinion not as strong as my favourite Megadeth albums;

“Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying?”, “So Far, So Good… So what?”, “Countdown to Extinction”

and “Youthanasia”, but I still find it very good. But then again… they never disappoint me.

11 songs with a splendid production and a very special guest, namely Lacuna Coil front woman Cristina Scabbia. Dave and Christina share the vocals in the remake of "A Tout Le Monde"… and they do a very good job.

I don’t see the point in writing a long and boring review of every single of the 11 tracks there are to be found here on “United Abominations” and it’s also quite hard for me to name my favourite tracks. But maybe “United Abominations” is a tad better that than the rest in my opinion.

This spanking new album is not a return to form but still a must have for every Megadeth fan out there.

Pure Megadeth… so go and get it now.
