Well this is my first close encounter with LION’S SHARE but certainly not my last because this album rocks, boys and girls.

After a six-year break they are back in a revamped outfit containing singer Patrik Johansson

(Astral Doors, Wuthering Heights), bassist Sampo Axelsson (Glen Hughes), guitarist Lars

Chriss and drummer Richard Evensand (ex-Chimaira, Soilwork, Therion).

As mentioned above this is my very first close encounter with LION’S SHARE so I can’t compare it to earlier releases but the promo-CD I’m holding in my hands contains 11 splendid Heavy Rock/ Heavy Metal tracks in the same vein as Astral Doors, DIO, Black Sabbath, Saxon and even 80’s KISS.

Well, only the Angel Witch cover “Sorcerers” is a little disappointing in my book, but the rest of the 10 songs are great. Just give it the time it needs to blossom.

LION’S SHARE sound like they are having a hell of a lot of fun and that’s a vibe that translates perfectly to the listener. We get almost everything here; from mid-tempo stompers to up-tempo bangers and to be honest I haven’t expected such a pleasant surprise...!

Patrik sings with conviction and the guitar riffs will have your head thrashing back and forth very

vigorously. Musicians like Glen Drover (Megadeth) and Bruce Kulick (KISS) lend their expertise on a few tracks and the production is powerful and great... at least on my stereo.

So... hurry up and get this album now if you’re into pure Heavy Rock and Heavy Metal.
