This should really be down my alley: female fronted dark, progressive metal with a flair for melody. Aniek Janssen and her Dutch compatriots do have some really nice ideas and the addition of a flute in many of the songs brings back some fond memories of Psychotic Waltz, but the songs are simply not strong enough to win me over.

Aniek does not have the strongest nor the most powerful voice in metal, and the mediocre production does not help matters much, so I end up with an album of which I have no recollection of 5 minutes after it's finished.

There is so many better and more innovative bands within this little niche of metal, that I don't see much room left for this band and their middle of the road album, which won't make much noise nor make a stir in the metal community at all.
