‘Choirs of Immortal’ is the third full-length album released by female fronted Greek band Crystal Tears, the first two albums ‘Skies of Eternity’ and ‘Embrace the Horror’ were self released albums and there was a male singer on them.

Crystal Tears has been around for about ten years and has played as special guest for Jag Panzer, Riot and W.A.S.P. in their hometown Thessalonica.

‘Choirs of Immortal’ is the first release by German label Pure Steel Records and it’s a really good one.

Crystal Tears offers all the good elements that made heavy metal so popular in the eighties. One great song follows the other transferring us back to the legendary days of old. They deliver straightforward heavy metal in the vein of Manowar, Judas Priest, Saxon and Accept, the vocals remind me of Leather Leone (Chastain) and Dawn Crosby (Fear of God & Détente).

R.D. Liapakis (Mystic Prophecy) has delivered a raw production that fits the music like a glove and Joe Petagno (Motörhead) is responsible for the great cover-artwork.

Recommended tracks; “Megas Alexandros”, “Stealer of Minds” & “Legends Never Die”.
