I really enjoyed the last effort by Blood Red Throne by main man Tchort and his co-hoarts. Now they return with what I can describe as some seriously punishing death metal on ‘Come Death’. The formulae has not changed a bit since ‘Altered Genesis’, but why change something that obviously works? That’s a flawed argument, I know, but I don’t care just know, cause this fucking kicks ass.

The first thing I notice is the nice and healthy production that closely relates to their previous offering – tight drum ensembles in the immediate forefront flanked by some guitars which simply are so heavy that they bend spacetime. Actually, bass and vocals are also very much in your face, so let’s just say the entire album will rape your ears and leave you bleeding.

When I hear this, I think American death metal with a Scandinavian sound. Think Cannibal Corpse and Myrkskogs bastard, then you have good impression what’s in store for you.

I very much like this album. But some sort of disclaimer is needed since I won’t give it a insanely high score. And that is simply that this is solid handiwork, but I doubt it will have the longevity required of the really great albums. But, support this band, it’s definitely worth it!
