Fifth full-length release from Aborted and I must admit that I wasn’t exactly thrilled when I received this promo-CD because their music hasn’t done much for me in the past.

But of course I threw it in my hard-tried CD-player and to my surprise I liked it a lot. We get every thing here on this Grind/Death Metal release; Tempo-changes, awesome riffs, blastbeats and of course a GROWLS.

Track after track are beating the living shit out of me and Aborted shifts perfectly between almost Slayer-like Thrash to brutal, fast Grindcore/Death Metal.

Aborted’s slower and more groovy riffs reminds me a tad of Vader and when they do slow down they are almost melodic but don’t worry… they will soon go back into beating your skull in.

This album, titled “Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture” was produced and mastered by no other than Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Mnemic) at Antfarm Studios and features guest appearances by the Grindcore/Death Metal legend Jeff Walker (ex-Carcass), as well as Jacob Bredahl and Henrik Jacobsen of Hatesphere

All skeptics should take a listen to this album and train their fucking neck muscles. (Can I say fucking here, Mr. Editor?)
