Australian Metal band Mortification is back with their 13th studio album called “Erasing the Goblin”. Mortification spend 12 months in the studio and the result is a solid piece of Thrash/Death Metal with a hint of Punk.

We are treated with 10 tracks of simple but very memorable Metal on this brand new release. It’s very easy to tell the numbers apart and only a few of them are not above average in my opinion.

The music could very well have been released back in the 80’s but it doesn’t mean that it sounds dated… not at all, and I’m a sucker for 80’s Thrash Metal. My favourite tracks are; “Razorback”, Erasing the Goblin” and “Your Time”. Just take a listen to the riffs in “Your Time”. Awesome riffs… awesome riffs that could melt iron. This is first class Metal no doubt about that.

Actually there is not much more to tell here… the production is good and the music is good, so if you are a sucker for 80’s Thrash Metal, I really think you should do yourself a favour a check this album out. Maybe you’re in for a real treat?
