Marillion – Marbles in the Park

Every two years Marillion throws a big party and invites fans to join them at the event they call Marillion Weekend. In 2015 the event took place in March at Center Parcs, Port Zelande, Netherlands, and on the three evenings they performed the entire Anoraknophobia album on the first night, Marbles on the second, and the third night flew under the banner Singles Night.

Along with the complete albums they also performed fans favorites on the first two evenings, and all of it was of course recorded and is available now thru Marillion.com on 2-CD albums, Blu-ray and DVD. The 3-disc versions on Blu-ray and DVD contains all three evenings.

The Blu-ray, DVD and the second evening is also available on Edel Germany GmbH, and it’s the specificly the double-CD from the second evening I had the chance to listen to over the past couple of weeks. If you, just like me, love and cherish Marillion then I suggest you give this live recording serious consideration, because an evening in the company of Marillion performing live on stage is always something special!

When I kicked this site off back in 2003, I had no idea that it would turn into what it has become. I am very proud of what we've done and achieved over the years. Musically I have a soft spot for 80s inspired hard rock, but my favourite music and bands are all to be found in the progressive universe these days.
