A little more than a year has passed since Warrant released their comeback album 'Born Again' and now they are ready with the DVD to go with it: 'Born Again: DVD' with the subtitle 'Delvis Video Diaries'.

To me and to most others I guess, Warrant was one of the frontrunners of the immensely popular hard rock scene in the late 80's and early 90's with one hit single after another, who doesn't remember the cheesy song and video for "Cherry Pie"? Time did however catch up with them and the scene and they disappeared off the face of the earth like so many other hard rock/ glam rock bands did in the mid-90's.

This DVD features the complete 'Born Again' album mostly played live on stage in front of no audience with small clips incorporated to spice things a bit up, the exception being "Angels", which features live footage. As well as some tour outtakes called 'Mini Monster' (You gotta be bullshitting me), a cool report from the recording of 'Born Again and the mandatory slideshow. It is apparent that the band - Joey Allen (Lead guitars), Erik Turner (Rhythm guitars), Jerry Dixon (Bass) and Steven Sweet (Drums) - has been together for a very long time, and new vocalist Jaime St. James (ex-Black 'n' Blue) proves to be a good replacement for Jani Lane.

I like the idea of playing the new album from start to finish, but wish they would have packed some oldies on here as well... after all that's what made them and what people remembers them for. I do like this DVD a little bit better than the album because of the extras, but this it strictly for fans only.
