If you’re looking for 80’s Thrash Metal, maybe you should at least check out this band called Dreams of Damnation. Formed by Dark Angel guitarist Jim Durkin this band provide us with pure 80’s sounding Thrash Metal not a million miles from the sound of Dark Angel.

One of the first things that hit me was the vocalist Loana dP Valencia … what a voice! The next thing was… she can’t be a woman with a voice like that? But yes… she is a woman… damn… she sound like a very angry man… and she is doing a fucking great job.

Listening to this album just makes me feel good… I feel I’m back in the 80’s when Thrash Metal gave Metal a deserved kick in the butt. And I’m a sucker for this kind of Metal. Dreams of Damnation play Thrash music the way it was once played and assault all of your senses with guitar riffs that stays in your mind for days. Yes… it’s very easy to tell the numbers apart and they pound away so hard that your legs will be trembling long after the disc is done.

All tracks are great… but my favourite track is “Beyond Salvation”… Dark Angel is written all over this track, and I just can’t forget the riffs, chorus… everything about this track is just awesome.

Fans of 80’s Thrash Metal or Dark Angel should not hesitate to check this great Thrash Metal assault out now.
