“Lost Horizons” is the second solo album from Luca Turilli within a month, the first one “The Infinite Wonders of Creation” was a big disappointment so I was kind of looking forward to this new Dreamquest project, surely Luca Turilli one of the best power metal guitarists in the world wouldn’t let me down twice.

But that is exactly what he did. “Lost Horizons” is the worst pile of crap I've had to review for a long time so I will make it short.

This CD is filled with all kinds of weird stuff, like gothic and techno??? And of course there are female vocals with an operatic touch, all of a sudden everybody shall have Nightwish like vocals, it’s just like the grunge invasion, but now it’s the Nightwish invasion. And where are the guitar solos?? There aren’t any! It’s all keyboards.

The best thing about this album is the few seconds of silence between the tracks.
Please
Mr. Turilli give us a new Rhapsody album instead.
