Into a New Dimension

Style: Symphonic Power Metal
Release date: November 1st 2006

I was totally swept away by Divinefire’s debut album, “Glory Thy Name”, released early 2005 and also by their second release, “Hero”, released November 28th 2005. So you can imagine that my expectations to Divinefire’s third album “Into a New Dimension” was very high. Are they fulfilled? Yes, they are!

Not much has changed in the Divinefire camp however I find them a tad more aggressive than on their previous albums. They, Jani Stefanovic: Guitars, drums, keyboards & programming - Christian Rivel: Lead and Backing Vocals, and Andreas Olsson – Bass, still provide us with Bombastic, Symphonic Power Metal with huge and memorable choruses.

Well, I have to admit I was a little disappointed the first time I threw it in my CD-player, but already after 2-3 listens, I was hooked. The songs are driven by fast and heavy guitar-riffs, tight drumming and lots of keyboards crowned by super catchy choruses which finds its way into your brain right away. The vocals are a tad more aggressive at times but it suits the music fine, I think.

My favourite Divinefire album is still their debut album, “Glory Thy Name” but both “Hero” and this new release are almost as good. I already call myself a huge Divinefire fan, no doubt about that and I know I sound ridiculous but now I’m already waiting for their 4th album :)

The production done by Jani Stefanovic and Christian Rivel is very powerful and crystal clear, so do check this album out now if you’re into Bombastic Power Metal.
