Damien Thorne has been around since 1983, and in 1984 they released a 4-track demo, followed by their legendary debut album “The Sign of the Jackal” from 1986 (re-released on The Metal for Muthas/High Vaultage label in 2003 with four bonus tracks).

The second album “Wrath of Darkness” war recorded back in 1987, but not released before 2002 due to their record labels demise.

In 2005 Damien Thorne played their first festival in Europe at the Headbangers Open Air with great success, and “Haunted Mind” was released. Damien Thorne delivers great old school US metal like Overkill meets Testament with a twist of Forbidden.

The first thing that will draw your attention to this album is the vocal performance of Joe Martin that guy rocks. The songs on “Haunted Mind” can easily compete with the songs on “The Sign of the Jackal”, except for one track “Dante’s Mire” doesn’t really fit on this album, it reminds of early Black Sabbath.
