You know, it isn’t very often that grindcore pours through the distribution channels. I can’t say that I’m sorry about that fact, but I also have to admit that it is refreshing to get a dose from time to time, especially when we’re talking a Swedish combo like Birdflesh who throws 25 tracks at you in little over a half hour, and does it with humour as well.

The ‘songs’ on ‘Mongo Musicale’ land somewhere in the minefields between Napalm Death and Macabre, perhaps with a twist of Brujeria, and for connoisseurs of brutality this should fare extremely well. This means, of course, that it’s not just 1-2-3-play-as-fast-as-we-can. It’s that, too, but it’s also groovy and bowel-moving pieces as well as various silly noises.

Try it – it’s fun!
