This is the third album from former Psychotic Waltz singer Devon Graves, since he moved to Europe and started Dead Soul Tribe. The album continues where the last one left off, but this time it's a bit more dark and moody - at times almost Tool-like. And he has added some strange industrial sounds to the mix as well. I have a rather ambivalent feeling each time I listen to the album, not because it's bad, just that it could so easily have been a really great one ... the album is very un-even, starting off very good with the first 2 songs, then mediocrity kicks in with a couple of boring songs, then the next highlight comes with: "The Coldest Day Of Winter", then 3 nothing saying songs, before we are treated with a great re-recording of the old ballad: "Just Like A Timepiece" off Buddy Lackey's sadly overlooked solo-album; "The Strange Mind Of Buddy Lackey", but that's it .... 4 great songs, and 6 not so great, but just OK songs. Devon has done almost everything by himself, recording (except the drums), producing and mixing, artwork was done by Travis Smith. It's not a bad album, maybe my hopes were too high?
