The Epic Power Metal band Domine from Italy are back with their fourth album called “Emperor Of The Black Runes”. I must admit, that it took me numerous listens to really get into this album. These guys play fast Epic Power metal with powerful riffs, soaring vocals and galloping rhythms with a symphonic edge. Songs like “The Aquilonia Suite”, “The Prince In The Scarlet Robe (The Three Who Are One – part 1) and “The Sun Of The New Season”, are some of the best Epic/Power Metal songs I have heard in a long time. However it really took me quite a long time before this album opened up to me.
With this album Domine finally made another step towards the Epic/power metal-olympus.
So, if you are into Epic-bombastic-power metal with a symphonic edge, then I think you should at
least give Domine a chance. |
