It’s been four years since the debut “Land Of Darkness” on B.O. Records, the “Land Of Darkness” album didn’t stand out in any way, it was typical German power metal. The new album “Angels Wear Black” is a more diverse offering, it’s almost like half the band wants to play European style power metal, and the other half wants to play American style power metal, some of the tracks could easily have been on “The Land Of Darkness” album. So it’s a bit confusing listening to the cd, some of the German track are really good, but the American stuff are really boring. For the next album Black Abyss should find out what style to play. |
