The first Altaria, “Invitation”, was a good melodic metal album. However I think it suffered from Jouni Nikulas voice. They have improved with Taage on vocals and have released a powerful melodic hard rock album with catchy hooks and memorable choruses. Mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, Finland, and the sound is huge. 12 songs are included, and most of them are in the same catchy uptempo melodic rock style. There’s a bonus track on the limited edition called “Balls To The Wall”, and yes, it is a cover of the classic Accept number. Stand out tracks are hard to pick, because they are all very good. Definitely a recommended album to fans of Melodic Rock and hard rock. |
