French prog-metallers Spheric Universe Experience have announced that they are ready to ship their newly recorded 5th, as of yet untitled album for mixing and mastering at the Mix Unlimited Studio in Los Angeles, where none other than Damien Rainaud (Fear Factory, Dragonforce, a .o.) will make sure that the new album is crispy and ready for human consumption later in 2019.The upcoming album follows 2012’s “The New Eve”, which saw amazing reviews, followed by a European tour as support for the legendary UK prog-metal act Threshold.
Keyboarder Fred Colombo comments:
With this 5th studio release, we’re going back to where we belong – melodic progressive power metal, in the vein of our fan-fav album Anima. To achieve the bombastic sound and production we believe this album deserves, who else than L.A.-based French producer Damien Rainaud? Damien recently produced Fear Factory and Dragon Force and is the man we need for this record. We’re more excited than ever with the recording of this new album and can’t wait to share it with our fans and perform it on stage, later on!
– Spheric Universe Experience has been called the French Dream Theater and it’s not without a reason for anyone, who has listened to their previous 4 albums. Each album is a tour de force into intricate rhythm patterns, odd numbers, amazing musicianship and an overflow of intense guitar/keyboard chases that leave nothing to the imagination. Although their last effort was a more modern and not as equilibristic approachable album, the melodies and the prog has always stuck, and the future shall see the band return, with a return to their roots in the progressive universe. You want this experience!
