Critically acclaimed doom/death/sludge band GRIME (Argento Records) have announced details of a U.S. spring tour. The Italian band will be supporting American sludge/doom metal titans COUGH (Relapse Records). This will no doubt be an opportunity for them to pummel their audience into ear bleeding submission.
Tour dates (tour poster by Chrissell, @animvs_):
5/11 – Los Angeles, CA at Union
5/12 – Phoenix, AZ at Club Red
5/13 – Las Vegas, NV at TBD
5/14 – San Diego, CA at Soda Bar
5/15 – Oakland, CA at Golden Bull
5/16 – Portland, OR at Tonic Lounge
5/17 – Seattle, WA at The Highline
GRIME’s sound has been described as a rotten burial ground and their songs as the sound of a decaying swamp filled with trash. Their slow and heavy groove is filthy and vicious, guitar riffs are sharp and covered with rust, drums and bass hit with the unstoppable power of a mud avalanche.
GRIME’s last LP “Circle of Molesters” (Argento Records) was nominated “Sludge Album of the Year 2015” by heavily trafficked web portal Cvlt Nation, and reached the top 5 in many top 10 end of the year album charts. Since the album’s release GRIME have been touring all over Europe supporting bands such as Converge, Cough, Fistula, Today is The Day and -16-. The band also had the honour to play great festivals such as Heavy Days in Doomtown, Bloodshed Festival, Barroselas Metal Fest, Roadburn, Desertfest Belgium and Desertfest London.
GRIME recently entered the studio to record some crushing and dynamic new material for an eagerly awaited new release. More details on the band’s new opus will be made available soon.
